Hello, My name is Katie and am a 40 something year old, happy wife and mum of a nearly 8 year old. I have always grown up around the great outdoors in the Cambridgeshire Fens or flatlands. I loved watching my mum in the garden and had my very own flower and veggie bed from the age of 7. I first learnt how to grow flowers from seed then on to salad leaves and radishes, peas and potatoes. That soon grew into the love of how nature works and watching flowers grow and bloom, learning to cultivate the seeds and plant them on. The beauty and pleasure of a tidy garden has never left me and have had a real passion for creativity in all of my gardens as I moved through Norfolk, starting in 1995 when I moved to Thorpe Marriott. Each garden dares to be different and have enjoyed the challenge along the way. In 2005 I found a career in Norwich City Centre where I could spend most of my time outside, and thrived being outside day to day and sometimes Into the night. When that came to an end in late 2013 and moved into an office, I yearned to be back outside but never found the opportunity, unless it was in my own garden. My peace, my sanctuary, my happy place. I could literally spend all day and summer nights pottering away and never get bored. I have always received compliments on my gardens over the years and prided myself in what I have achieved. So in spring of 2019, when a fellow villager asked for help to create colour and seasonal planting with general maintenance..... I thought ""I can do that!"" My part time gardening career had started. Covid put a stop to starting my own full time business in early 2020 but the yearning to be in the garden grew ever stronger when cooped up inside for 9 hours a day staring at a laptop. So here we are now..... The Gracious, (and grateful) Gardener.
I offer a Friendly, efficient, and honest service. The Gracious Gardener has become a reputable, local and friendly Gardening Service.. I am enthusiastic about every job, however big or small, managing projects with the skill and experience clients expect. I want all my customers to be satisfied with my work, which is why I provide open communication channels throughout the duration of each project, so you can contact me at any time.
